Championship

CHAMPIONSHIP INFO!

It’s with much sadness that we have to inform you that we have to cancel BOTW Championships. There are several reasons that lead us to this decision and today we were given no choice but to cancel.

We received a notice from Carnegie that they are unable to approve a permit for the event. California State Parks requires use of only two approved companies for medical services and neither were able to provide services for this event, leaving us at a stand still. Without this there is no way to proceed further.

On top of this, ticket sales have been very low, with the event scheduled two and a half weeks from now. While we’d expect more sales over the next two weeks, it isn’t sufficient to cover costs for operating the event.

Ticket sales have been declining across the board for all events across the country for the last few years, all while the costs for everything goes up for event promoters. It’s a lot to balance, while having to commit to many upfront costs months in advance, with fingers crossed that ticket sales will come in. We’re hopeful that this will improve in the future, and know that other factors like the economy are impacting all events, live music venues, festivals and more.

When we started Best of the West Race & Freestyle Circuit it was because we believe in this sport of racing and freestyle for Onewheel’s & EUC’s. We had high hopes for sponsors to help support the circuit which didn’t come in at the level expected. We are extremely grateful for the amazing sponsors that have supported BOTW.

A lot of very passionate people have made all of our events come to fruition and for that we are eternally grateful. As of now we are still planning on ShredFest 7 in summer 2027 and hope to see many of you there.

To everyone that has already purchased a ticket; we will start full refunds this week. Please be patient as we do this. Thank you for your support for our event.

Old Event Info:

Our championship event will take us to a brand new location!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Carnigie SVRA located in Tracy, California

September 18th-20th, 2026

Our EUC and Onewheel finalists will come together to race the motocross track and our freestyle finalists will compete on a combination of features seen at each of our events. Our final event of the season will provide camping on-site, music, community activities such as a mass start race as well as FUN races. All of the community vibes from each events combined into one final event of the race and freestyle season!

We recognize that it’s expensive to travel to events and we want to be sensitive to that. Our circuit was designed with community & fun in mind and our events couldn’t run without all of the support we get from you all. If you can only make it to one West Coast event this year… no problem! We’ve saved two qualifying spots in each division for EUC & Onewheel which can be earned in the Championship On-Site Qualifier. Freestyle will have three spots open to qualify for Pro & Amateur on-site. Buy a ticket to the championship event, show up and battle for one of those two spots for a chance to earn the season title. Let’s GOOOO!!!!!

Prize Pool for Circuit Champions will be announced in August.

There will also be plenty of other non-racing activities for both racers and non-races, so please come cheer people and have fun on even if you don’t want to race.
