Circuit Announcement

New Racing Circuit

The Best of the West is a collaboration between the West Coast’s premier events. Let it Ride, Seek N Shred and NorthWest Electric Fest have joined forces to produce this West Coast competitive circuit ending in a new Best of the West Championship event to be held in fall of 2026. Stay tuned for details. Not just off-road Onewheel and EUC races, all of the circuit events will also include Freestyle competitions, Fun Races, Community events and more! Best of the West Circuit events are being produced independently and are not part of the ORL rankings for 2026.

New Best of the West Championship Event

The Best of the West Championship event is still in final planning stages but will take place in the fall of 2026 and provide a venue for the qualifying riders to compete in racing and freestyle competitions to see who is truly the Best of the West. More than just a freestyle competition,  on-site qualifier and finals race, this will be a weekend community event for all riders, racers, friends, family and spectators also featuring Fun Races, WheelieFunBike events, DJ’s, nightlife activities, on-site camping, and community activities!

Important Changes

New Age Requirements: Pro racers must be at least 16. Expert racers must be at least 14. Exception: Since 2026 is a transitional year, riders under 16 who got 3rd or higher in Expert at any event in 2025 may petition for approval to race in Pro. This requires parental consent, organizer approval, and safety clearance.

New Gear Requirements: Racers are required to wear a helmet plus wrist/elbow/knee protection.

No ORL Points: Best of the West Events are not part of ORL and points will not be awarded for ORL standings.

Competitions

Onewheel Races

Every event will start by holding a time trial . For most events this will be used to place riders into heats for head to head racing against riders from the same division to determine finals standings. For the championship event, this will provide a final opportunity for a few riders to qualify for the championship finals.

EUC Races

We are stoked to host the first dirt circuit for our EUC community! All of our races in the circuit will bring their own style of racing. Qualifying to compete for the division title at the Championship can be earned from placement at circuit events, overall points stand or Championship on-site qualifier placement. There is also a Prize Pool for each event

Let it Ride in Las Vegas will host a Head to Head EUC race with 4+ riders racing at a time for finals.

Seek N Shred brings you a Mini Enduro style race with 4 segments including an uphill climb. Race each segment twice through to see who comes out the fastest.

North West Electric Fest will bring you a time trials race through their race course. Each rider will have the chance to throw down their fastest lap on the course, who will be the fastest?

Best of the West Championship will have have an on-site qualifier time trial and head-to-head semis/finals for EUCs using the same structure as for OneWheels.

If at any race in the circuit we have more than 15 racers in our pro divisions, we will add an amateur division. The top half fastest time trial times will be our pro division and the bottom half of time trials times will be our amateur division.

Freestyle Competitions

We believe that freestyle needs a bigger platform in our community and Best of the West is here to make sure that happens. Each of our community events will host a freestyle competition with a fair, transparent and consistent scoring system. Our judges will be trained ahead of time on scoring and will all be experienced trick riders. We are building a traveling set of unique features that will be at every event adding to their existing freestyle parks. The top three finalists from each event  will be invited to compete in our final event in the fall.

Let It Ride – We are working together to build a rad park for you all to compete on. Join us in Vegas for a freestyle comp to remember. Top 3 riders qualify for our Championship event.

Seek N Shred – A few years ago we introduced Benwheel Park where we host our Slopestyle competition. This park was designed to push the sport and riders limits. We recognize this park isn’t for everyone, so we are stoked to announce a new flatland freestyle competition in addition to our Slopestyle comp. Our main stage freestyle competition will take place in the meadow with all new features you’ve never shred before. This main stage comp will qualify 3 riders for our Championship event.

NorthWest Electric Fest – If you haven’t had the chance to check out the Oregon crew’s incredible freestyle park, don’t sleep on it this year! They continue to level up their park each year with VERY creative features that will level up your skills. We are stoked to see what they come up with this year! Top 3 riders qualify for our Championship event.

Best of the West Championship – The top 12 riders will get to compete for the freestyle circuit championship title. In addition to the 9 riders who can qualify at circuit events, there will be 3 more spots up for grab at the championship event in the Championship On-Site Freestyle Qualifier.
